The Rex of White Way Samoyed Memorial Library and Museum was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in Washington State on March 21, 2014. A Board of Directors was formed and has begun to hold planning meetings. Following is the list of officers and board members:

Donations of money, art work, memorabilia, collectibles and mention of the Rex Library in wills, estates, and trusts are most welcome. As of March 2, 2015, donors to the Rex of White Way Samoyed Memorial Library and Museum may now be eligible to take a tax write off as the IRS has approved the Rex Library as a not- for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.
Early startup activities are focusing almost exclusively on soliciting donations from the general public on-line through the Rex Library website and through informational brochures and ads. The 21st Century is a Digital Age. The Board already has acquired through donations, The Jim Osborn Collection, the largest single repository of Samoyed materials in the U.S., and probably in the world. Jim Osborn wanted the collection to stay together for the future use of Samoyed lovers. The full Osborn collection is outlined on the Rex Library pages at www.rexofwhiteway.com
The Rex Library will always be accessible for the general public for research and to preserve the heritage of the Samoyed. In the future, donations will allow the purchase of a physical site for the resource library and museum devoted to the Samoyed breed. The Library location has not been determined.
Since Rex of White Way was born and lived in California, it is hoped that a suitable library location will be found in California. The Board will make its decisions in the best interests of the Rex of White Way Samoyed Memorial Library and Museum and in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
If you are interested in volunteering to help in scanning or any other activities, please contact one of the six names listed above from the Board listing and let us know your particular skills and interests in helping.
